Stand UP and Get MOVING

You’ve got to stand up.

Look, we’re all at home. A lot of people are home, and we’ve been doing these presentations on Zoom. And a lot of people didn’t even know what Zoom was months ago. But everyone’s at home, everyone’s speaking. And it’s not good enough. It’s not good enough. If you are a speaker, if you’re a motivational speaker, if you’re trying to engage with people, you’ve got to stand up. You’ve got to get the right lighting. You’ve got to get the right sound. And you’ve got to move your hands and give people what they want. The same thing that they would feel if they were in a room with you, in a seminar room with you. You’ve got to bring the energy. You’ve got to literally just connect with people, so they can feel how great you are, they can feel how excited you are to be able to connect with them.

That’s what is missing. That’s what we need to do. And that’s what we’re going to be doing through The Best You, and The Best You Expos. If you want your talk to count and you want to be part of it, and you want to be involved in the television, we’re going to ask you to professionalize yourself, to up your standards, to make sure that you’re connecting with people in a way that is worthy of people watching it from home. The fact that you are at home doesn’t mean that we have to lower the quality. People are filming things in studios all the time, and it has that great energy and vibe. So you have to raise your standards. You have to rise to the top. You have to make sure that you’re connecting with people in a way, and also keep the talk engaging.

So a lot of the times, I’m suggesting to people to maybe play a commercial. So if it’s a recording, do that. And then maybe play a quick commercial. Something that talks about you, some testimonials. Or maybe play something at the same time, or maybe have something coming across the bottom of your page. Something that’s going to engage with people, so they can actually feel that they’re permanently excited about watching you. So stand up, raise your standards, and just make sure that you’ve connecting with people and they can feel it. Thank you so much. Have a great day.
